We run all year around with sessions in fall, winter and spring and camps during the summer and other school breaks. Sessions are usually 9 to 12 weeks long, depending on when various holidays fall within the calendar year. Our progressive skills development program is unique to Skateboard and Inline Skate School with badges awarded to each skater at the end of their session. Skaters are divided into small groups based on skill level and each small group works with their own coach. A typical hour-long class is comprised of approximately 50 minutes of a structured lesson in a small group followed by 10 minutes of free skate. During free skate, skaters practice the skills and tricks they are learning. This portion of the class is essential to continued skills progression and the skaters really enjoy it! You can choose from 1 or 2 hour classes which are typically run on Wednesdays and Saturdays. We recommend beginners start out with a 1 hour class. During last class of each session, badges and awards are presented to the skaters and family and friends are invited to watch. As well, during our indoor sessions, a demonstration is held during the last class. During the “demo” each skater has an opportunity for a 1 minute solo run to show off their new skills and be cheered on by family and friends.
